im not looking forward to the attachment at hospital next week because i find the staffs there at hospital are not as amiable as people in polyclinic through my last attachment. maybe there may be a change in their attitude because i will not be going back to the same ward but that's the impression they have given me about the hospital and im not going to change my opinion until i've seen improvement. how i wish i can straight away go polyclinic to work after i graduate but hospitals are the best place for us to accumulate experiences

today's the end of attachment at toa payoh polyclinic which i had enjoyed myself there and had found it very meaningful because the staffs there are amiable, hence i felt delightful and stress free while asking questions as we are able to blend in very fast with each other be it with the staffs or the other other students. even though it's disheartening at times to hear patients enquire the official staffs about our ability, i felt that with the staffs, there's nothing to fear and besides, as one of the staff had talked to us about her opinion to this profession from her few decades of experience, she had advised us to learn to be more hardhearted as in thick-skinned to retain a lot of insults from the people out there because asians tend to look down on nurses which is a complete opposite from the westerners whereby they respected the nuses more then the doctors and is more more compliant and heed nurses advise better as compared to the nurses. im really glad to have mari and xiao pei as our preceptor because they did a great job in taking care of us and guiding us through our uncertaintys and understanding our needs and fear as a student nurse. they and the other kind, knowledgable seniors provided us with a much more conducive environment for our learning to take place and i think i preferred polyclinic to hospitals because most importantly, i find that there's more time to interact with patients and people around you and that's the part i like about nursing:D

let me blog about yesterday.. hmm.. yesterday i was supposed to meet chang wei and kennilyn for lunch but kennilyn's were hurting hence we did not manage to come together. at first i thought of meeting yijun to pass her the vcds then she said there was a cny celebration for sjab in ftp so me and chang wei went see see.. it's been a long time since i went back to sjab hence i felt awkward over there and cant really interact with the juniors so me, chang wei and yijun stay inside sjab room and chat. we left ftp at around 4 plus and at the gate i could not find my visitor pass.. poor chang wei and yijun were drenched in the rainwith me while i looked for it. so sorry for that to make you all wait. after taking back the pass we went to tpy interchange for dinner at kfc then after that we found a place to sit down and chat at kkiddy palace.. we were so immersed in the chatting that i decided not to go home early to call for gas delivery and chang wei cancelled his tuition session. it was fun to chat with them cause there's alot to chat about.... :DA
